Alexander Lasheras is a filmmaker born and raised in Langley, British Columbia. A graduate from the University of British Columbia's film program and Vancouver Film School, his work has been showcased at numerous festivals, including both Toronto and San Francisco International Film Festivals. Lingo, produced during his final year of film school, was included in Canada's best shorts of 2012. Cadence, Alex's debut feature, received support from the National Film Board's Filmmakers Assistance Program and was partially financed through a crowdfunding campaign; it premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2016 and won the audience award for most anticipated BC film. Alex began collaborating with Alan on the Mora project in 2012 as an editor and cinematographer. They conducted interviews in L.A. and followed Mora across Poland and Germany in search of his family's past.
