Efisia Fele is a filmmaker, photographer, musician; a jack-of-all-trades with a broad range of skills and experiences, mostly within the performing and visual arts.

Before finishing VCE, Efisia ventured into the world of fringe theatre as Assistant Director for an adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. After graduating from high school, she found herself at the helm of a large cast and crew, directing and performing several roles in a sold out, three week season of ‘A Clockwork Orange’ at Chapel Off Chapel in the year 2000. Since then, Efisia directed several plays by Melbourne’s award winning playwright/screenwriter/novelist, Ray Mooney; including political satire, ‘Mouth Of The Dog’; and techno-thriller, ‘Cock-a-doodle-do’ in collaboration with the Melbourne Writers Theatre and La Mama.

In 2005, Efisia co-wrote an Australian Outback thriller screenplay titled ‘Lost Not Found’ and directed a short investment teaser to showcase the intended look and feel of the thriller, which features a score by John Roome. The teaser and concept for ‘Lost Not Found’ gained the interest of much of the international horror community and was quickly featured in Fangoria Magazine where she later became a contributor.

In late 2005, Efisia joined the cast of ‘Death Walks The Streets’ as ‘Danielle’ and her likeness has been used for the eponymous, limited edition comic book; including the exclusive Wizard World edition’s cover of Issue #0.

Efisia has since been involved in several independent film projects, taking on various cast and crew roles. She has trained in physical theatre, Theater of Cruelty, Butoh, Meyerhold’s Biomechanics and gained qualifications in Stage Management, Special Effects and Prosthetics Makeup (theatre) and a Bachelor of Communications (Media) degree.

Efisia established her photography and film production company, Dogstar Pictures in 2013, releasing several music videos which have aired on ABC TV’s cult programme ‘Rage’, VICE and other platforms both nationally and internationally; and photographing Melbourne bands since its inception. She currently works and collaborates as a freelance photographer and videographer.
